Hey friend!
Do you know what really grinds my gears? The topic of entrepreneurs who go back into working full-time.
Don't get me wrong, it's definitely a conversation that needs to be had. More and more entrepreneurs are going back to the comfort of a steady paycheck, and who can blame them? (I did it! 🙋🏽♀️) But what annoys me is the direction that this conversation typically turns to.
The conversation always ends with something like this:
"Entrepreneurship isn't for everyone. I'm happy they realized that."
And this is where I start to feel stabby 🔪 Because going back to working full-time, for whatever the reason, does NOT mean that entrepreneurship wasn't for you. Maybe it means you wanted more freedom to work on your business without worrying about turning a profit. Maybe you needed more money to get your product created or maybe you're in the middle of a major pivot and need some cash coming in in the meantime. And like Ms. Tab says, "That's your business!"
Just because you decided to take a different route from what is typically hyped up online, doesn't mean that entrepreneurship is any less for you.
You can do one, the other or both. I've said this a million times, but there is no right way to be an entrepreneur. And if anyone says differently, tell them to come see me.
Cheers to a great week!
