Issue #58: Putting Guardrails Around Your Goals with Monique Malcolm
How to set realistic goals that won't lead to burnout and overwhelm
If you haven’t heard, the name of this newsletter changed! I explain it all here! Don’t worry, same content, same format!
Hey friends!
The New Year is THE season for setting and going after new goals. We’re all excited for a fresh start and riding on that “New Year, New Me” high. But as exciting as it all is, we have to be careful not to be so excited over what we want to accomplish that we hit burnout before the quarter is over.
A few weeks before I took my yearly December break, I chatted with my friend Monique Malcolm, founder of Take Tiny Action about putting guardrails around your own goals.
In this video, she shares:
Why so many people get overwhelmed by their goals
How to be realistic about where you are before setting goals
How to check in with yourself while you’re achieving your goals
This chat was originally shared live with members of the ROOTED community, but I felt like this chat was too good not to share with all of you!
We have incredible sessions like this and more inside of the ROOTED community every month! Members also get access to community support, curated self-care toolkits, and our growing wellness library.
