My Biggest Takeaways From Podcast Movement 2023

This past week I spent time at the Podcast Movement Conference in Denver, Colorado. And it was a week of firsts! First time at Podcast Movement, my first time in Denver, and my first time not spending my birthday with my family. But despite the nervousness that I felt, I had an incredible week of connecting and learning.
If this is your first time hearing about Podcast Movement, it’s the world’s largest gathering of podcasters. Seriously, when I first walked in I was a little intimidated by the amount of people who were in attendance. However, I quickly warmed up and navigated my way through the different sessions and conversations.
Although this conference was geared towards podcasters, a lot of what I learned felt like it could be implemented into many types of content mediums, whether it be podcasting, video, blogging, or your newsletter. So I wanted to share some of my biggest takeaways from the event!
VIDEO IS JUST GOING TO GET BIGGER
A major point that was made during a lot of the sessions was that video content is going to continue to gain importance, even in the podcasting space. Many of the speakers talked about how adding video to your podcast not only gives you more leverage when working with brands but also helps you to humanize your brand outside of audio.
